Denver Vision Therapy is looking for a bright, energetic and friendly Vision Therapist to join our busy optometric vision therapy practice in Lakewood.

This is an entry-level position — no previous vision therapy experience is required. We will train you!

This position is especially well suited for teachers, educators, coaches, psychology or biology students/graduates, and others who enjoy working one-on-one with people and are looking for a rewarding career with excellent work-life balance.

Optometric Vision Therapy helps people develop and improve visual skills that are essential for everyday life. Our patients may struggle with reading, eye tracking, eye teaming, focusing, depth perception, spatial awareness, visual processing, or overall visual performance.

Through individualized therapy, patients can improve their ability to read and learn, perform in school or at work, use computers more comfortably, participate in sports, and gain confidence.

We work with children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with special needs , including patients with ADD/ADHD, autism, and those recovering from concussion.

You will have the opportunity to see firsthand how the brain and visual system work together — and how targeted therapy can make a meaningful difference in a person's life.

What Does a Vision Therapist Do?

A Vision Therapist works one-on-one with children and adults, providing individualized training and coaching to help them improve their visual skills.

Think of it as physical therapy for the eyes and brain — helping patients learn to use their visual system more effectively and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working one-on-one with patients during individualized vision therapy sessions
• Administering optometric and visual-perceptual testing
• Assessing visual skills such as eye tracking, eye teaming, and eye focusing
• Guiding patients through therapeutic procedures and activities
• Building positive relationships with patients and their families
• Monitoring patient progress and helping patients stay motivated
• Participating in special projects based on your individual skills and interests

No previous vision therapy experience is required. Our comprehensive training program will teach you what you need to know.

Your Training & Career Path

We believe in investing in our team. Your training will progress as your knowledge, skills, and confidence develop.

First Month: Observation, study, and foundational vision therapy training.

After 3 Months: Transition into direct patient care as your skills and comfort level develop.

After 6 Months: Begin working with more advanced patient cases and expanding your clinical skills.

After 2 Years: Opportunity to pursue Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) certification and continue advancing your career in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Interest in working with people and learning about the visual system
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Must genuinely enjoy working with children and families

Job Details

Position: Vision Therapist

Schedule: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week

Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Weekends: None!

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $22/hour
• Hiring bonus $1000 ($500 after 90 days, $500 after 1 year)
