Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Support clients in engaging with community resources and recreational activities.
• Promote residents' rights and ensure a respectful and dignified approach to care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure holistic care.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for mobility support or transfers.

Experience

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with caregiving practices, including first aid and dementia care, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
• Experience in social work or related fields is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.
• A compassionate demeanor coupled with strong communication skills is essential for success in this role.
