PITT OHIO offers career opportunities within a company that values hard work, teamwork and integrity.What PITT OHIO OffersCompetitive payExcellent benefits including medical insurance with no weekly premiums, dental, vision, 401(k) and profit sharingPaid time off and holidayA respectful, people first work environmentWell-maintained equipment & modern facilitiesIf you're looking to join a company with a strong culture and a commitment to its employees, PITT OHIO is the place for you.Responsibilities• Support terminal personnel when issues arise• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology-based solutions are implemented and corporate wide improvements are realized• Ensure that newly developed solutions or enhanced applications are thoroughly tested, documented, and appropriate feedback is provided to IT and partnering companies• Assist with device management and troubleshooting• Collaborate with the Engineering team to gather and document Business Requirements for new systems and/or enhancements• Help manage and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring that services and products meet organizational needs• Train and mentor staff on new process changes and technology-based initiatives• Develop strategies and plans to assure sustainability of improvements• Monitor and report progress on projects and performance to senior management• Identify and recommend improvements to organizational processes and methods• Remain flexible to additional responsibilities as required; react to change effectively and handle other essential tasks as assignedOther Duties• Assist with various IT&S/Operations projects as needed• Develop and maintain process documentation to support process improvement• Travel to terminals in the network to observe operations and recommend improvements• Collect and review PowerBI KPI reports to support project initiatives• Support other Engineers in the departmentQualifications• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management or another related discipline• Associate degree with 2 – 5 years of work experience in LTL Operations or Logistics may also be considered• Must possess a strong understanding of business processes• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams• Previous business software testing experience is preferred• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Outstanding time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines• Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products• Persuasive presentation skills• Travel up to 50% is required• Hours of work must be flexible, including weekends and evenings• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement• Fluent command in the English language is required to efficiently communicate with internal and external customersWorking Conditions• Candidates must be able to efficiently communicate, observe operations facilities and activities, and learn our business from the "trenches".• Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forces frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are only required occasionally.• Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer terminal, and extensive reading.• Typical exposure to interior environmental conditions like air conditioning and dust; no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.• Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.• Talking and hearing required to communication with and listen to others to share or receive information.
