Plant Manager

Job Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for overall manufacturing and logistics processes for Nortek, Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves leadership of people, manufacturing, planning, continuous improvement, and logistics, maintaining production while improving operations to enable growth. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety of all employees in the plant and comply with legal and compliance requirements. Plan and execute production requirements to meet customer commitments through efficient utilization of production areas, staffing, and materials management. Lead continuous improvement efforts to drive productivity, waste elimination, and cost reduction. Lead local operational strategy to build plans for growth and execute projects and growth plans. Build a high performing organization focused on capability, accountability, and personal growth, and foster engagement and retention. Lead problem‑solving with teams to ensure ongoing metrics for the facility. Establish and control production conditions to satisfy customer and quality specifications. Participate actively in standardization, cost reduction, and ERP system protocols. Manage purchasing, stock control, distribution, production‑scheduling tasks. Maintain proper employment levels through selecting, interviewing, and training personnel. Coach and develop employees, hire high‑performers, manage underperformers. Job Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree. Industry‑relevant production experience. Tangible track record of improving organizational effectiveness and operations management. Knowledge of business and management, HR, and project management principles and practices. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft applications, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a “can‑do” attitude with quality first. Ownership of logistics initiatives.
