Ensures accuracy and proper authorization for the entry.Processing Form 11 reconciliations from agencies, reviewing and comparing PeopleSoft and State Treasurer reports and agency documentation to ensure accuracy and correct balances. Assists agencies in research and resolving reconciliation issues.Reading and analyzing state legislation and statutes to determine agency actions and direction; issue written memos based on research.Functioning as backup for monthly general revenue reconciliation and estimate, processing monthly general revenue appropriation transfers and other monthly transfers.Preparing various annual federal reports.Providing functional support to state agencies in general ledger and accounting issues, including reconciliation of fund balances, various errors, general operating questions.Performing other general ledger team duties, payroll funding corrections, and payroll validation.Assisting with developing and maintaining training manuals, documentation and schedules and distributing to the user groups.Monitoring and responding to team Service Desk cases to provide timely resolution.Other duties may be assigned.This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.Minimum qualifications include:Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field; andTwo (2) years of professional accounting work experience; orAn equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of education for one year of work experience.Preference will be given to candidates who possess:A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.Good working knowledge of the State of Oklahoma Accounting system, PeopleSoft Financials.Experience with SQL Tools and Developer and intermediate skills with Excel.A strong understanding of accounting principles and statewide accounting policy.Strong reconciliation skills.About OMESThe Office of Management and Enterprise Services provides excellent service, expert guidance and continuous improvement in support of our partners' goals.
