Step into a rewarding school-based nursing opportunity providing 1:1 care for a medically fragile student in a vibrant educational setting. This contract role offers a unique schedule—Wednesdays only—from now until June 11. As a key support for this student, you’ll work closely alongside educators and families to ensure consistent, quality healthcare that helps the student thrive.

Desired Experience and Credentials:

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of Connecticut
• Active BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior experience working with medically fragile children or within a school environment preferred
• Professional communication skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships
• Adaptability, strong organizational abilities, and a compassionate approach to nursing

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to a student with specialized medical needs during the school day
• Monitor and respond to the student’s health status with meticulous attention to protocol
• Administer medications, perform medical treatments, and provide emergency care as necessary as part of the student’s care plan
• Maintain accurate documentation of health services provided
• Communicate updates and collaborate with teachers, school health staff, and the student’s family
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism, privacy, and care at all times

This fulfilling contract lets you make a visible impact while balancing other personal and professional commitments. You’ll be working every Wednesday from 7:30 am–2:30 pm (or until 12:10 pm on early release days) at a supportive, welcoming high school. Interviews are conducted onsite when possible for a hands-on introduction to the setting and team.
