Role Description The Sales Director is a full-time, on-site role based at Holiday Inn Roanoke-Tanglewood-Rt 419&i581 in Roanoke, VA. This position oversees all sales activities, including identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with corporate, group, and leisure clients, and managing key accounts to drive revenue across rooms, meetings, and events. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and executing sales strategies, conducting site visits and presentations, negotiating contracts, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and preparing regular sales reports and forecasts. The Sales Director collaborates closely with the operations, revenue management, and front office teams to ensure seamless delivery of guest services and fulfillment of group and event needs. The role also involves leading and coaching the sales team, setting performance goals, and maintaining brand standards in all sales and marketing efforts. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Sales and Business Development to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and grow revenue. Candidates should possess skills in Sales Operations to manage pipelines, reporting, forecasting, and contract processes. Candidates should possess skills in Customer Service to deliver responsive, professional support to clients and guests. Candidates should possess skills in Team Management to lead, coach, and develop a sales team toward shared goals. Relevant experience in hotel or hospitality sales, including group and corporate accounts, is highly beneficial. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at multiple levels. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and use CRM and hotel sales systems effectively.
