Punahou’s Co-Curricular Theatre Program is seeking a grades K–3 Drama/Theatre Teacher to support early elementary students through creative drama, storytelling, movement, imaginative play, ensemble‑building, and age‑appropriate performance activities. This position is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with young children in a creative, playful, and structured environment; has strong classroom management and communication skills; and can create a warm, engaging space where students feel safe to participate, take creative risks, and express themselves. Position Details Work Year: 9 Months School Year: 2026-2027 Work Hours: Variable schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs. Hourly Rate: $35.00/Hour Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience teaching or working with early elementary students required. Experience in theatre, creative drama, performing arts education, elementary education, or a related field preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills required.
