Active Living Orthopedic Facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year. Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Virginia Beach, our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies. As a member of our team, you will work onsite within a collaborative environment that includes two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). This structure promotes teamwork and knowledge-sharing, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' individual goals and requirements, ensuring personalized treatment planning.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, treating one patient per hour to provide focused and high-quality interventions.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols designed to improve patients' range of motion, flexibility, and overall functional performance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive care plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and strengthening exercises.
• Encourage lifestyle changes that promote health, including tailored fitness programs aimed at enhancing strength, coordination, and balance.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering resilience and a commitment to recovery.
• Utilize EMR software, specifically WebPT, to document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure a holistic approach.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed for maximum effectiveness.
• Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all patient interactions and treatment rendered, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a diverse patient population in need of orthopedic care, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. We aim to reduce reliance on pharmacologic interventions while promoting restorative practices that empower our patients to actively participate in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A pristine professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques, enabling you to address specific functional needs effectively.
• Exceptional competency in designing and implementing individualized exercise protocols based on patient evaluations.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing a strong understanding of the rehabilitation process.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate patients effectively, enhancing their commitment to rehabilitative exercises and overall health.
