This position involves caring for patients with lung and esophageal diseases, including lobectomies and esophagectomies. The nurse will assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion. The role requires strong teamwork and critical thinking skills. The nurse will have opportunities to develop skills and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care. Experience in ICU or intermediate care and surgical post-operative care is required. Candidates must be willing to float as needed within the unit. Telemetric testing is mandatory before starting the position. The nursing team will support a patient ratio of 3 patients per nurse.
