Business Development Consultant

Position Business Development Consultant Overview We are seeking a driven, experienced Business Development Consultant to join our growing sales team. This role is ideal for a seasoned logistics sales professional with proven 3PL experience who excels at building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored fulfillment solutions. Responsibilities Work directly with prospects and existing customers to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and guide accounts through the full sales cycle—from initial contact through long-term growth. Actively monitor industry trends, leverage FSI’s existing book of business, and identify early indicators of both risk and opportunity. Meet clients in person and understand their shipping needs. Present logistics solutions and close new accounts. Manage relationships from first contact through ongoing account growth. Work closely with internal operations and leadership teams. Track activity and pipeline through a CRM system. Conduct field visits. Liaison with operations for sales. Assist with marketing efforts (e.g., social media and blog posts). Qualifications Proven success selling third‑party logistics (3PL) services. Leverage existing relationships with businesses that ship on a regular basis. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full‑time position; on‑site presence required; tele‑commuting generally not possible. Will report directly to the Business Development Manager. Travel Local travel is expected regularly; out‑of‑town travel is periodically expected. Other Duties Job duties may change over time.
