Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced civil litigation attorney in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex litigation cases independently, with significant experience in construction litigation, insurance defense, or coverage matters. This role requires strong leadership, client management, and case strategy skills, with trial experience preferred. Duties Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions. Appear in court, hearings, and mediations. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff. Requirements 10+ years of civil litigation experience. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation. Significant experience in construction litigation, insurance defense, or coverage matters. Strong leadership, client management, and case strategy skills. Trial experience preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in the state of New York. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
