Cerchione Hurowitz Law Group LLP, one of New York City's leading personal injury litigation firms, is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to become a part of our Law Department!. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in New York motion practice. Strong case analysis, legal research and legal writing, calendar management and communication skills are required, as is a thorough knowledge of CPLR, New York motion practice and court operations in all metropolitan New York counties.

Responsibilities:

• Draft dispositive and other substantive motions and opposition papers and prepare/edit other legal documents;
• Handle oral arguments;
• Effectively communicate with clients, adversaries, judges and court personnel;
• Manage an active caseload;
• Oversee the work of paralegals and legal assistants;

​​ Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in a New York law firm handling substantive motion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong legal research skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong organizational and case management skills;
• Ability to work under pressure, expeditiously and accurately;
• Knowledge of all New York City courts, including their procedures and requirements; and
• Admission to practice in New York State
