The Office of Public Safety at the University is seeking a Case Coordinator for the Threat Assessment and Management Team (TAMT). This position supports the efforts to improve the community safety of The University of Arizona. The coordinator will work collaboratively across the university community and provide consultation on reporting process; threats of violence; and educate the community on behaviors of concern. The coordinator will also work directly to support the Threat Assessment Management Team Chair and its members who represent the University of Arizona Police Department, Dean of Students Office, Human Resources, Office of the General Counsel, Counseling & Psychological Services, and Campus Operations. In addition to being the first point of contact for incoming referrals, this position also triages & works closely with each assigned TAMT member to coordinate, manage, and ensure cases are completed and resolved in a timely manner.This position will require employees to be available after hours and weekends for emergencies and threat cases.

As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities
Assessment& Coordination of Threats/Risks:
- Collaboratewith the Chair and university departments to develop safety and contingencyplans for ongoing case safety plans.
- Review newcases and prioritize them based on the level of threat or risk involved.
- Conductfollow-ups on assigned cases to gather additional information and assess thesituation.
- Support theChair in organizing community training and awareness programs to supportcommunity members in recognizing potential threats or seriously concerningbehaviors.
- Communicatewith stakeholders and potential individuals impacted by the threat to ensurethey are aware of the risks, best practices, and available options.
- Provideconsultation and support for education and awareness efforts regardingWorkplace Violence Prevention.
- Provideconsultation and support to victims/witnesses, including reporting follow-upand referrals to appropriate resources.
- Participate inand organize planning meetings, status meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- OtherResponsibilities as assigned.
- Knowledge of MicrosoftOffice applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Suites,Adobe Acrobat, and comfort utilizing other relevant software such as AdvocateSimplicity.
- Knowledge of threatassessment and case management in a higher educational setting.
- Knowledge andunderstanding of violence prevention and intervention techniques.
- Strongknowledge and understanding of interpersonal and targeted violence.
- Ability to workacross multiple departments, with various administrators, faculty, staff,students, and other community members.
- Ability to actindependently in a dynamic and demanding environment; resolve escalated issuesutilizing knowledge or procedures and exercise discretion and good judgment,upholding the highest level of confidentiality.
- Interpersonalskills to provide high quality assistance to University of Arizona employees.
- Effectiveproblem solving, decision-making and analytical and organizational skills andcollaboration and coordination with other staff, law enforcement, courts, andmental health professionals.
- Stronganalytical and organizational skills to manage a range of non-routine projects,with close attention to detail and project follow-through.
- Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional levelexperience required.
- Three years ofrelevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and workexperience.
