Associate Family Law Attorney

Role Description The Associate Family Law Attorney will handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, and related issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include client consultations, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, and managing case files. The attorney will appear in court for hearings, temporary orders, trials, and mediations, and will conduct or assist with depositions and negotiations. Collaboration with the principal attorney and staff to develop case strategy and maintain clear communication with clients is expected. This is a full-time hybrid role based in The Woodlands, TX, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law and Family Law, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and apply relevant statutes and case law. Experience managing Family Law matters involving contested issues, including Legal Issues related to divorce, custody, support, and property division. Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, orders, and other pleadings before family law courts. Ability to prepare for and conduct or assist with Depositions, including developing questions, reviewing testimony, and integrating findings into case strategy. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Texas. Prior experience in family law practice preferred; recent graduates with strong family law internships or clerkships will be considered. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong negotiation abilities, and attention to detail in drafting and case management. High level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion when working with clients facing sensitive personal and financial matters.
