Logistics Operations Supervisor - Sacramento, CA.

Shift Schedule 2nd shift – 2:00 PM -10:00 or midnight, Monday - Friday. Job Summary The Operations Supervisor monitors all operations, including, but not limited to: process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status, and dispatch drivers for pick‑up. The supervisor is the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations, and vendors, providing quality customer service while meeting company policies and procedures. Essential Functions Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks. Ensure safe operations and compliance with OSHA regulations, applicable laws, and Pilot’s Corporate Policies. Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communication and morale. Review operational key performance measures monthly and benchmarking data to drive correction or improvement strategies. Communicate freight status and any problems to customers, vendors, and other Pilot stations and personnel. Handle freight via forklift. Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Competencies Customer service background preferred. Ability to read key elements of financial statements in support of functional role responsibilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of systems utilized as it relates to logistics. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure environment. Pay Range $75,000 - $77,000. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
