Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,213–$2,283 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; potential for 4x10s; no weekends Start date: 06/29/2026 Setting: hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation Responsibilities Plan and execute rehabilitation programs to help patients regain physical function, using therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re‑education, modalities, gait training, and manual techniques Evaluate mobility, strength, and overall function; develop a Plan of Care with short- and long-term goals; provide a home exercise program and discharge instructions Document patient progress according to approved medical and facility documentation procedures; maintain patient records and ensure payer certifications and authorizations are in place Maintain open communication with therapy staff, department colleagues, and referral sources to coordinate care Supervise physical therapy assistants as appropriate and ensure consistent, quality care Engage in continuing education and apply current standards of practice to patient evaluations and interventions Requirements Active Illinois Physical Therapist license (PT) – REQUIRED Active American Heart Association BLS certification – REQUIRED 1+ years of physical therapy experience; inpatient experience – REQUIRED Ability to work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting Two supervisory references completed with dates employed listed – REQUIRED Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL (non-local requirement) Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 40 per week 13-week assignment with a defined start date Weekday schedule with no weekend shifts Travel assignment in a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation setting On-site and ongoing support through the assignment process Pay Disclaimer Rule Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
