Immediate Openings! SMS Staffing is hiring Chemical Operators in Pleasant Prairie, WI area! Job Title: Chemical Operator Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Pay Rate: $18.00/hr. - $24.00/hr. Temp to Hire Schedule:

1. st Shift | 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
2. nd Shift | 4:00 pm – 12:30 am (Monday - Friday)

Position Summary The Chemical Operator is responsible for safely operating equipment used to blend, transfer, and package chemical products within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate processing of materials, maintains production documentation, and supports efficient and safe plant operations. Key Chemical Operator Responsibilities Operate pumps, tanks, and processing equipment to transfer, blend, and package chemical products. Measure and mix chemical batches according to established formulas and production specifications. Fill drums, totes, and containers and prepare products for storage or shipment. Monitor equipment and production processes to ensure quality and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate production records, batch logs, and inventory documentation. Operate forklifts or material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods as needed. Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines, including proper use of PPE. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial operations preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, lift up to 50 lbs. and climb as needed. Requirements: Must be able to read and write English Have basic math capabilities Comfortable working around chemicals Able to wear safety equipment (i.e.: respirator, gloves, acid suit, googles and steel-toed work boots) May be required to work outdoors Flexible with overtime Join the SMS TEAM!
