Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and long-range communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that address language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop a holistic care approach.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout each patient's therapeutic journey.
• Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous education and collaboration with peers to stay ahead of industry advancements.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
