QIAGEN seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead QC operations for molecular biology reagents in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role provides technical oversight of laboratory testing, batch release activities, and compliance management while supervising a QC team.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Quality Control team responsible for testing enzymes, nucleases, oligonucleotides, and molecular biology reagents
Serve as technical escalation point for enzyme and nuclease QC, supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Ensure timely execution and compliance review of QC testing, batch release, and laboratory documentation per ISO 13485
Lead investigations into deviations, nonconformances, and out-of-specification results with root cause analysis
Drive quality and operational excellence through performance metrics analysis, assay robustness improvements, and process optimization

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific field
8-10 years of experience in molecular biology, enzyme/reagent manufacturing, or regulated laboratory environments
3-4 years of demonstrated people leadership or laboratory management experience
Working knowledge of ISO 13485 quality systems and regulated laboratory practices
Experience with deviations, CAPA, change control, validation, and audit readiness activities
Proven ability to lead QC testing and technical investigations in regulated settings

Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 base
