Sanitation Worker in Commerce, CA — $18.65/hr, 1st shift, temporary. Clean and sanitize food-production equipment and processing areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Food safety starts with equipment and production areas that are ready for the next run.

Clean and sanitize food-production equipment and assigned processing areas using the site’s written procedures. Follow chemical-handling instructions and report conditions that could affect sanitation or food safety.

This shift starts at 5:00 AM and includes overtime. Expect hands-on cleaning, wet surfaces, sanitation chemicals, and repeated bending and reaching; your recruiter will review the assigned areas and specific physical demands before submission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Clean assigned production equipment and processing areas
• Apply cleaning and sanitizing products according to site instructions
• Follow chemical labeling, handling, and PPE procedures
• Remove production residue using approved sanitation tools
• Inspect assigned areas after cleaning and report sanitation concerns
• Record completed sanitation work as directed
• Follow food-safety rules and equipment-isolation procedures during cleaning

WHAT YOU NEED

• Able to work the 5:00 AM–1:40 PM shift and overtime
• Able to follow written or demonstrated sanitation and chemical-safety procedures
• Able to perform repeated standing, walking, bending, reaching, and hands-on cleaning

NICE TO HAVE

• Food-production sanitation experience
• Experience with sanitation chemicals and cleaning tools
• Familiarity with GMP and food-safety practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand and walk during sanitation work, bend and reach to access assigned surfaces, and use hands and arms repeatedly to handle cleaning tools. Specific lifting and equipment-access demands will be reviewed before placement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Food-production sanitation areas with wet floors, cleaning chemicals, production equipment, and possible temperature changes. PPE is required and provided, and all plant safety procedures apply.
