Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized methods and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that aim to achieve both immediate and long-term goals in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families, ensuring they can support progress outside of the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, emphasizing a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely fashion, adhering to all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay informed with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not been achieved yet.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
