Description

• Assess patients across a variety of age groups through a mix of standardized evaluations and insightful observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate challenges and long-term communicative or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver tailored, one-on-one interventions focusing on aspects such as language development, fluency, vocal improvement, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work in partnership with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure coherent care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage consistent progress beyond clinical visits.
• Conduct periodic inpatient evaluations and treatments as necessary, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Keep thorough, up-to-date records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational protocols.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of advancements in speech language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
