Create individualized treatment plans tailored to addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing various areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to formulate integrated care plans.
Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support therapeutic progress beyond clinical interactions.
Occasionally provide inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's recovery journey.
Engage in ongoing education opportunities to keep abreast of developments in the field and nurture professional growth.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Strong competency in evidence-based treatments across all age groups, with in-depth knowledge of both developmental and acquired conditions affecting speech, language, and swallowing.
Adaptability in therapy methods to cater to various cultural and linguistic circumstances.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
