Job Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tests and observational criteria.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting immediate goals as well as long-term improvements in communication, cognition, or swallowing abilities.
• Execute individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallow techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create integrative care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
