Medical Assistant- 1st Shift

CAN Community Health is now hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Extended Hours Schedule (bi-monthly rotating schedule): Weekday 10 am - 8:00 pm; Weekend 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Pay Rate: $21.25 - $24.43 hourly based on experience Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference every day? Tuition Reimbursement Plan Career growth opportunities in a supportive environment This position is responsible for the duties of a Medical Assistant, assisting the front desk as well as performing phlebotomy. Medical Assistant-Primary Tasks Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history. Performs immunizations as directed by the physician. Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions Practice CAN Community Health's mission, vision, and values Phlebotomy Tasks Identify patients using two unique identifiers and verify test orders prior to specimen collection. Prepare collection sites using aseptic technique and select appropriate collection equipment. Label specimens accurately at the point of collection. Process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis according to laboratory protocols.
