Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Hospital Setting
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Full-Time)

Location: Hospital-based position (on-site)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care and clinical procedures
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures
Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection as directed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
Administer injections and medications as permitted by scope of practice
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
Provide excellent patient communication and support
Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting
Current certification from one of the following:
AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)
NHA (National Healthcareer Association)
Registered with AMT (American Medical Technologists)
Strong understanding of clinical procedures and patient care workflows
Ability to work Monday through Friday on-site
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred

Preferred Skills

Experience in a hospital or specialty care environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Team-oriented with a patient-first mindset
