Description Status: Full-time position Rate: Starting hourly rate - without experience: $30.25 & with experience: $32.53 Full benefits package includes: MO Lagers Pension, medical, dental, life insurance, long-term disability and various voluntary benefit plans Florissant Police Department is comprised of great employees who were chosen for this profession based on their strong ethics and a demonstrated desire to make a positive difference. Our Police Department is an internationally accredited law enforcement agency and our mission is to provide the highest quality police services to the people of the City of Florissant, by promoting a safe environment through police and citizen interaction, with an emphasis on integrity, fairness, and professionalism. Primary Duties The primary duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer include the prevention and suppression of crime, the investigation of offenses and the arrest of offenders, the protection of life and property, and the preservation of the peace. This is a safety sensitive position Performs other duties as requested Requirements Job Minimum Requirements Applicants must be a U.S. citizen Must have either a high school diploma or G.E.D.
