Senior Accounting ManagerMcLean, Virginia, United StatesThe Senior Accounting Manager will oversee critical components of the Company's accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This leader will manage a team of accountants, drive process improvements, partner cross-functionally across Finance and the business, and support strategic initiatives.Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completenessOversee general ledger operations, account reconciliations, journal entry review, and financial statement preparationManage and coach accounting staff; foster a culture of accountability, development, and high performanceEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policiesPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and business units to support reporting and analysisSupport internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to controlsIdentify and implement process improvements and system enhancementsAssist with technical accounting matters, complex transactions, and policy developmentParticipate in and, in certain circumstances, lead special projects including system upgrades, integrations, and process modernization initiativesBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceClearable U.S. Citizenship is Required8 plus years of accounting experience, government contracting is a plusExperience with Deltek Costpoint is a plusStrong knowledge of GAAP principlesUnderstanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes Oxley complianceExperience in a corporate controller's organization in a mid-to-large enterpriseAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environmentCPA certification preferred but not requiredThe toughest national security challenges demand vision and ingenuity, not just resources.
