Quality Inspector

Seeking a Quality Inspector for a full time contract position with benefits. The work hours are M-F 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Quality Inspector will provide: - Inspection support for both Receiving and Final inspection, including month end shipments as needed. - Inspect product by means of manual layout, caliper and micrometer checks, plug and pin gage inspection, etc. with proficiency and experience (demonstrated within the last 5 years). - Perform tasks using Windows based software such as Excel and Word. - Evaluate product compliancy through proficient understanding of blueprints and GD&T (demonstrated within the last 5 years). - Technically validate certified paperwork to the specifications per the blueprints. Responsibilities - Provide inspection support for both Receiving and Final Inspection. - Inspect product per blueprint requirements in accordance with the current quality procedures. - Evaluate product compliancy through a thorough understanding of industry specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T. - Prepare and complete First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 requirements. - Conduct Assembly Floor Layer Process Audits as well as 5S audits to ensure a safe and productive working environment focused on producing quality product. - Support as needed to meet our customer demands at the month end. Skills Required - Ability to read, understand and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English - Documented experience evaluating product compliancy through a thorough understanding of industry specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T within the last 5 years. - Documented experience with evaluating and certifying AS9102 First Article Inspections. - Documented experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Education Required - Highschool Diploma Work Experienced Required - Two (2) years experience working in a manufacturing environment within the last 5 years. - Must have minimum three (3) years' experience in a quality department within the last 5 years. Work Experience Preferred - Minimum five (5) years' experience in receiving inspection. - Experience writing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). - Experience with AS9100 compliance. - Extensive experience with Microsoft applications. - Certified training in blueprint reading and GD&T. - Experience with SAP About GlobalEdge Technologies GlobalEdge Technologies connects specialized engineering, IT and technology talent with leading organizations and technology-driven programs.
