Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs are needed for a contract position in a large, fast-paced hospital setting. This role is ideal for registered nurses who thrive in a team-oriented environment and are ready to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population. You’ll primarily work across all inpatient Med/Surg and Tele units, caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, post-surgical recovery, and cardiac diagnoses such as CHF and A-fib.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts (7A–7P or 7P–7A)
• Rotating weekends: 5-6 shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Required to work one major holiday shift for each holiday period

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license and BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency during onboarding)
• Med/Surg certification a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and time management skills
• Experience in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and IV maintenance
• Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, post-cath care, and managing a variety of cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine)

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult inpatients with varied medical and surgical diagnoses
• Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination and discharge planning
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs; draw labs from CVLs as necessary
• Document care and assessments in EPIC EMR
