Construction Material Field Technician

We are hiring a Construction Materials Testing Technician in Ashland, VA to handle field observations, sample testing, logging, and communication with project managers. Sample and test construction materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs of inspections and test results. Communicate daily with the project manager or operations manager regarding project progress. Requirements Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record. Ability to lift or move 60–80 pounds. Capability to work outdoors in all climates and over varied terrain. Strong attention to detail, quality adherence, and safety compliance. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency or willingness to use a company tablet and basic MS Office. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, and procedure manuals with training. Preferred: experience and certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL.
