CoWorx is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst in the Chelmsford, MA area. Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour. Schedule: 1st Shift | 32 Hours Per Week (with potential for additional hours). Employment Type: Direct Hire. Location: On-Site. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and vendor relationships.
Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including processing vendor invoices, reviewing employee expense reports, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end closing activities. This role works closely with internal departments, vendors, and the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Responsibilities
- Process and voucher vendor invoices through the ERP system.
- Research and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Review and approve employee expense reports for compliance with company travel and expense policies.
- Process weekly check runs and payments for vendors and employee reimbursements.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounts payable closing activities.
- Support annual 1099 preparation and reporting.
- Organize, maintain, and file accounts payable documentation.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding payments and account status.
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Desired Background/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required. 4-6 years of accounts payable experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience working with ERP systems is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
