Payroll Support Specialist

HR/Payroll SpecialistReporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR/Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in administering payroll and timekeeping systems across multiple company entities. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while supporting HR initiatives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively with employees, management, and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end payroll processing for biweekly exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Oversee electronic and manual check processes, payroll records, and reporting.Administer the automated timekeeping system, including onboarding, setup, auditing, training, and report generation for employees and supervisors.Process garnishments, levies, leaves of absence, and employment verifications.Compile and review payroll and HR data to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring timely corrections.Support 401(k), workers' compensation, and other audits as required.Process accurate year-end reporting, including W-2s, 1095-Cs, and other required documentation.Manage taxation of employer-paid benefits.Collaborate with Finance, HR, and other departments to maintain smooth workflow and accurate reporting.Participate in projects and process improvements as assigned.Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in all employee and payroll matters.Provide exceptional support and communication to employees, management, and external agencies.Qualifications & RequirementsAssociate's degree or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Payroll Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.Experience with Paycom or similar payroll systems; ability to become proficient within 3 months.Strong understanding of HR processes and collaboration with HR teams.Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Salary & BenefitsCompensation: $60,000 – $100,000 per year (DOE)Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment following the law.
