Actalent has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Hanover, MD. Compensation Target Salary | $61,000 - $65,000 Bonus potential | Quarterly up to $1,000 Schedule Full Time | Permanent Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hybrid | 4 days in office - 1 day remote Job Summary The Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation, validation and analysis of all financials produced by the department. They also respond to inquiries and provide income statement analysis to Directors of Financial Operations and Controllers, which help guide field offices in understanding and managing profitability and financial performance. They play an active role in the annual budget process. A qualified candidate must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, innovation, urgency, and ability to work in a diverse setting. Essential Functions Produce monthly reporting which includes company, regional, office and director views Provide variance explanation between budget, actual, year over year, and trending performance Conduct monthly income statement analysis and prepare journal entries when needed during the monthly close process. Assist stakeholders in understanding and utilizing reports produced by the department Produce ad hoc reports and provide analysis as needed Investigate ways to improve current reporting processes utilizing functionality of PeopleSoft queries and the Planning application Participate in the annual budgeting process Minimum Education BS in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years of Accounting or Finance related experience PeopleSoft and nVision experience preferred Financial analysis experience preferred Hyperion Planning, Essbase and SmartView and EPM (EDMCS, EPBCS, FCCS) experience plus Advanced business degree a plus Abilities | Skills Strong analytical ability with a focus on detail Ability to manage multiple tasks Professional oral and written communication skills Capacity to view the company, and our internal process, at a detailed level Capable of interacting with all levels of the organization in a professional manner Per Pay Transparency Acts The range for this position is $61,000 - $77,000 + bonus potential of up to $4,000 Benefits Medical, dental & vision 401(k)/Roth Insurance (Basic/Supplemental Life & AD&D) Short and long-term disability Health & Dependent Care Spending Accounts (HSA & DCFSA) Transportation benefits Employee Assistance Program Tuition Assistance Time Off/Leave (PTO, Primary Caregiver/Parental Leave) Profit Sharing Actalent is an equal opportunity #J-18808-Ljbffr
