A large hospital in Delaware is seeking a locum tenens Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology DNP for inpatient coverage. The facility supports a team that includes 3 nurse practitioners and 4 physicians dedicated to advanced heart failure and LVAD patient care. The hospital provides on-site, inpatient services for an adult population requiring specialized cardiac management. This is an ongoing assignment with an immediate start date.

Delaware offers a range of cultural, recreational, and entertainment options for clinicians on assignment. Notable venues include the Delaware Art Museum, Hagley Museum and Library, and Milton Theatre, which host rotating exhibits and live productions. Performances are presented regularly at Freeman Arts Pavilion and The Queen Wilmington, featuring musical acts and comedy shows. Outdoor recreation is accessible through golf courses, hiking and equestrian trails, and guided tours such as fishing charters, nature tours, and bike tours. The Newark Reservoir serves as a well-regarded public space for walking, and the Wilmington Blue Rocks offer professional baseball at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium through the summer season.

This locum tenens position involves inpatient rounding and consults at a large hospital in Delaware, serving an adult patient population. The clinician will provide coverage across day shifts, 24-hour shifts, and call shifts, with LVAD call responsibilities on weeknights and weekends. A caseload of 7-8 patients per day plus 1 consult is expected. Candidates must possess heart failure and LVAD experience to be considered for this assignment. Board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required.
