Details Work on a 36-bed 5E Med/Surg unit in the Main Hospital building Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Patient ratio of 1:6 Unit staffed with a clinical coordinator, RNs, and techs per shift Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs Meditech EMR used Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required 1 year of recent Med/Surg specialty experience required Experience with post-operative patients preferred Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months US SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide care for post-operative patients including drain maintenance and wound care Team-oriented environment valuing positive attitude and strong patient advocacy Fast-paced unit requiring adaptability Navy blue or white scrubs required; hoodies, pull-overs, and T-shirts not permitted Unit recognized for top patient experience scores measured through HCAHPS Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-751008.
