Bridge Project Manager

Job duties include: Manage bridge projects from inception through final plan tracings and coordination with client, prime and sub consultant. Perform hand and software supported bridge analysis and design computations. May perform bridge inspections, prepare bridge condition reports, and supervise and review bridge load rating computations. Supervise project team for the development of plans for bridges and other transportation related structures. Prepare contract bid documents including final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for structural projects. Visit project sites to perform bridge inspections, verify existing conditions during design, and provide engineering support during construction. Coordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department including but not limited to survey, roadway, drainage, and planning. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) Licensed PE in Indiana, with qualifications to obtain the license in other states such as Ohio and Kentucky 7-10 years of experience in bridge design Experience preparing structure plans for DOT projects. Experience using the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver’s license Additional Desired Skills and Experience FHWA 2 Week Bridge Inspection Course or one week course for Professional Engineers Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Experience with Bridge Inspection Reference Manual Qualified candidates will be offered competitive compensation commensurate with experience, and an excellent benefits package.
