Travel RN – Stepdown / PCU (Night Shift)

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | 10-Week Assignment | Projected Start: August 10, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting under the supervision of unit leadership
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Adhere to all facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a Stepdown, PCU, or Intermediate Care (IMC) setting
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS may be required per unit standards
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills appropriate for intermediate-level patient acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Stepdown or PCU environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in large acute care hospital settings
• Experience working in a high-volume regional referral or trauma center
