Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Projected Start: 08/30/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, and lumbar drains
• Assist with feeding tube placement and blood transfusions
• Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, and patient lifts
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed; work every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience in neuro and trauma care
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neurological and trauma patient populations
• Experience with PCU or stepdown-level acuity environments
• Team-oriented, patient-focused approach to care
