Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Night Shift

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: 08/17/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients receiving IV therapy
• Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, and patient lifts
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Neuro and trauma care experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neuro and trauma care within a PCU or stepdown environment
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• Team-oriented, patient-focused approach to care delivery
