Position Overview:

In the role of Chief of Pulmonary Medicine, you will oversee the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various pulmonary disorders, including but not limited to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and respiratory failure. Your specialized knowledge will greatly enhance the health and quality of life for our veteran population, ensuring they receive top-tier medical care.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are unavailable, in line with VA Policy.

• Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.

• Medical License: Unrestricted license in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.

• Residency: Completion of an accredited residency in a core specialty.

• Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine.

Ideal Candidate:

• Five years of experience with board certifications in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, showcasing leadership abilities and a successful history of mentoring medical trainees.

Benefits Offered:

• Salary: Ranges from $285,000 to $400,000 (Sign-On Bonus Available)

• Competitive Compensation: Includes annual performance bonuses and regular salary adjustments.

• Generous Paid Time Off: Up to 55 days annually (including annual leave, sick leave, federal holidays, and CME leave).
