Make an immediate impact by supporting students as a certified occupational therapy assistant within a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are dedicated to fostering student growth across multiple school sites in the area. You’ll serve a diverse caseload ranging in age from Pre-K through transition (up to age 22), working closely with students, educators, and families to facilitate success and independence.

Your expertise:

• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Valid educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel between assigned elementary, middle, and high school sites
• Strong organizational skills for managing varying caseloads
• Effective communicator and collaborator within multidisciplinary teams
• Completion of required fingerprinting as part of onboarding

Key responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services as directed by supervising occupational therapists
• Assist students in achieving their educational and developmental goals
• Implement treatment plans and adapt activities to support individual student needs
• Conduct group and individual sessions, adjusting for age and ability levels
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participation
• Engage with teachers and families to promote generalization of skills across environments

This assignment offers full-time hours—between 35 and 37.5 per week—with the flexibility to work at different start and end times depending on assigned schools. As an itinerant team member, you’ll gain valuable experience with diverse student groups and settings.
