Chief Medical Officer — CNS / Rare Neurology Confidential Search | Clinical-Stage Biotechnology Company The Opportunity A well-funded, clinical-stage biotechnology company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead its medical and clinical development strategy. The company has a differentiated pipeline in central nervous system (CNS) and rare neurological disorders, with programs advancing toward key regulatory and clinical milestones. Key Responsibilities Own overall clinical development strategy across the pipeline, from early-stage programs through late-stage registrational trials. Lead regulatory strategy and interactions with FDA and other health authorities, including pre-IND, End-of-Phase meetings, and NDA/BLA planning. Design and oversee execution of Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical programs, ensuring scientific rigor, operational excellence and timely delivery. Build and lead the medical, clinical development and clinical operations functions as the company scales. Serve as the primary medical and scientific voice with the board, investors, KOLs, patient advocacy groups and prospective commercial partners. Partner closely with the CEO, CSO and commercial leadership on portfolio prioritisation, business development and long-term corporate strategy. Candidate Profile Required MD (or MD/PhD) with board certification, ideally in neurology, psychiatry or a related discipline. Senior leadership experience within biotech or pharma (CMO, SVP Clinical Development or equivalent). Demonstrable track record of NDA/BLA approvals. Deep experience across CNS and/or rare neurological disorders (e.g. neurodegenerative disease, movement disorders, epilepsy, rare pediatric neurology). Proven success leading Phase 2 and Phase 3 registrational programs end-to-end. Strong FDA relationships and a track record of successful regulatory interactions. Preferred Prior experience as CMO or Head of Development in a small- to mid-cap clinical-stage company. Experience presenting to boards, investors and at scientific/medical conferences. Familiarity with rare disease drug development pathways (Orphan Drug, Fast Track, Breakthrough, Accelerated Approval). #J-18808-Ljbffr BayBridge
