Assistant Store Manager

Cosentino's Food stores is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This full-time salaried position offers a competitive compensation package of $50,000 - $55,000 annually, comprehensive benefits, and quarterly incentive payouts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional customer service skills, and a keen understanding of retail grocery operations. You will play a vital role in driving store performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive shopping experience for our valued customers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a commitment to upholding food safety standards and effectively managing store operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Support the Store Director in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of merchandising strategies to maximize sales and product appeal.
• Contribute to inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular inventory counts.
• Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating and guiding store associates to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety training and regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Assist in managing labor schedules and optimizing staffing levels to meet operational needs.
• Support the analysis of profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Utilize organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced retail setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in retail grocery management or a closely related field.
• Working knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
• Thorough understanding of customer service principles and techniques.
• General knowledge of food safety training and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for basic reporting and communication.
• Proven ability to problem solve effectively in a retail environment.
• Experience in labor management and staff supervision.
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with profit and loss analysis and budget management.

Experience:
