Associate Chief of Staff

Sitting in the Office of the CEO, this person keeps daily operations on track, handling everything from meeting prep to executive-level writing, with a communications lean that sets the role apart from similar chief-of-staff-adjacent positions. We're looking for someone with a consulting or banking background who thrives on ambiguity, delivers polished work independently, and doesn't need much hand-holding to get things done. Key Responsibilities Executive Communications & Materials Shape talking points, correspondence, and other materials representing a senior executive's voice Support preparation for customer- and partner-facing meetings held on behalf of executive leadership Polish outgoing materials so they're ready for external or senior internal audiences Help maintain a consistent tone and message across executive communications Meeting Support & Follow-Through Own logistics and readiness for internal and external meetings, confirming materials are set well ahead of time Distill action items from internal discussions into clear, trackable next steps Keep visibility on open items across workstreams so nothing gets missed Keep relevant stakeholders informed on status between meetings Operational Execution & Cross-Functional Support Step in on ad hoc projects and overflow assignments to keep multiple workstreams progressing Move independently on clearly scoped assignments with minimal oversight Coordinate across departments to remove blockers and sustain momentum on cross-functional work Develop enough fluency in the business to represent the office confidently in day-to-day interactions Culture & Engagement Contribute to culture and engagement programming alongside the People team Help design and run initiatives that build connection across the organization Support planning and execution of company-wide events and communications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree required 2+ years of experience at a management consulting, investment banking, or similarly rigorous analytical environment Strong organizational skills with reliable follow-through on assigned workstreams Excellent written communicator, comfortable producing polished, executive-ready materials High proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and project management tools Demonstrated ability to work effectively and discreetly with senior stakeholders Prior exposure to enterprise software or technology-enabled businesses is a plus Candidates must be able to work onsite five days a week at our office in the greater Washington, DC area Military or public service background is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr NU Advisory Partners
