As an Armed Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and responding to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.04 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to members, guests, residents, staff, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures. Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, common areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Maintain a professional presence at assigned access points while providing directions, answering general inquiries, and supporting a welcoming environment for authorized individuals. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR Certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
