Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, California. This travel assignment starts 08/31/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,243–$2,431 per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12s (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum phases within the LDRP model.
- Assess maternal and fetal status, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate with the obstetric team to optimize outcomes.
- Administer medications, monitor labor progression, and support maternal/newborn stabilization as needed.
- Document care in the medical record, communicate findings to the care team, and ensure compliance with standards of nursing practice.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and support staff; delegate tasks and supervise ancillary personnel as appropriate.
- Participate in unit activities and ongoing education, including adherence to fetal monitoring standards and perinatal protocols.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Licenses: Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Experience: One year of recent acute care RN experience
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire or transfer; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years; for nurses new to L&D, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within first 6–8 months of orientation, then Advanced every two years
- Specialty requirements: Active L&D knowledge/experience; ability to work in a high-acuity obstetric setting; preferred knowledge of the LDRP (Labor-Delivery-Postpartum) model
- Availability: Able to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and fulfill the 3x12 schedule
