Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,281-$2,403 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts), rotating. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with obstetrics and neonatal services. This assignment supports the LDRP model and requires a proactive RN to join a 122-bed facility providing obstetrics, emergency care, orthopedics, and related services.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care across the labor, delivery, and postpartum continuum, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart monitoring, and respond to non‑reassuring findings per policy; coordinate with the OB care team.
- Administer medications and assist with obstetric procedures (e.g., epidurals, deliveries) and neonatal support as appropriate; ensure accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, pain management, breastfeeding, and discharge planning; promote patient-centered care and informed consent.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in committees as assigned, and facilitate effective handoffs and continuity of care.
- Maintain infection control practices, adhere to regulatory standards, and uphold ethical and professional nursing responsibilities.

Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- BLS certification; ACLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years; for novice/new to L&D, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during the first 6–8 months of orientation, then Advanced Fetal Monitoring every two years.
- At least two years of recent acute care RN experience.
- Ability to work night shifts in an L&D setting (LDRP model) and rotate as needed.
- Current RN license in the state of practice and ability to meet facility-specific licensing/certification requirements.
