Job Description

Busy neurology private practice seeks a full-time Medical Receptionist to manage patient check-out, appointment scheduling, and referral coordination. This role involves handling a high patient volume (20-50 daily), scheduling various diagnostic tests, and managing communications via phone. Proficiency with Athena EMR system and prior medical office experience are essential. Benefits included. Hours Mon - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm and Friday 7:00am - Noon, no weekends. Responsibilities

Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
Manage patient referrals and insurance verifications
Schedule diagnostic testing using Athena EMR system
Process patient check-outs and handle billing inquiries
Answer and direct phone calls with professional telephone etiquette
Maintain accurate data entry and electronic health records
Provide excellent customer service within a busy medical office

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in medical reception
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Strong customer service and telephone skills
Accurate data entry and organizational abilities
